Even More Nail Mail and NotD!

7 Dec

Wooooooo a string of awesomeness! I got two packages yesterday, one from Llarowe containing some UP Colors holographics and another from Ninja Polish containing two gold flake top coats! Woooooooooooo!!!!!!!

upcolorsL-R: Verde 360 ; Azul Disco

I’ve already tried Verde, and I love it! The holographic effect isn’t as strong as others I’ve tried, but it has a beautiful sparkle in the sun 😀

gooooldL-R: The Midas Touch ; He Went to Jarred

OMG SO IN LOVE. Not only is The Midas Touch cheaper than the “high-end” alternatives available, it’s also higher quality at 24k gold flakes (as opposed to the 18k I’ve seen). The white gold top coat (which everyone has been clamouring for!) is 12k. Super love love!!!

goldnails02So of course I had to try one of them out! I went with gold because I’m still on my Christmas nails kick. This is The Midas Touch over OPI You Only Live Twice.

*swoon* I’ll be keeping this on for a few days 😀

goldnails01What do you guys think? Keen to pick up any gold flake top coats? The Ninja Polish ones are only $15USD a pop! They’re currently out of stock but you can sign up for stock notifications, which is how I got my bottles. Check them out here.

I’m looking forward to The Husband’s work Christmas do tomorrow night, we’re going to a super fancy restaurant and get free food and drinks 😀

Bye guys~

Purple and Bronze Watercolour NotD

3 Nov

Today I thought I’d share the nails I wore to a wedding last week! They may seem random and out-of-context, but  rest assured that they matched my outfit perfectly 😀

I did these right after Day 27 of the challenge, so was feeling rather inspired by the sponged-watercolour thing 😀 Since I was wearing a black satin maxi dress with purple and bronzey-gold flowers, I went with a black base with purple and bronzey-gold colours sponged over top.

Polishes used were:

  • China Glaze Liquid Leather (base)
  • Mode Boysenberry
  • Jordana Silky Purple
  • Mode Messed Up
  • Color Club Fashion Addict
  • Kleancolor Americano
  • NYX Girls Buzz Worthy
  • Jordana Lavender Fields
  • Mode Glitzy Glam

That’s a big list!! It makes it seem like these took ages to do, but they really didn’t! They were positively light-speed by my nail art standards.

Here’s a rare view of my right hand, just to show you that I really DO do them both! 😉

*happy sigh* Pretty pretty.

What do you guys think? Something you would wear?

31 Day Nail Challenge: Day 31

31 Oct

Phwoaaaar made it! These last few days have been a bit of a struggle, but I’m glad I powered through. Just so I can say I did it :3 The last challenge was to re-create my favourite challenge.

One of my ultimate easy-go-to designs for events is glitter gradients, so I decided to re-visit Day 10. It’s a bit different this time round, instead of metallic I wanted glitter!

I heart glitter. I used China Glaze Exotic Encounters, Blonde Bombshell, I’m Not Lion, and Golden Enchantment. Nice and easy, but super sparkly and pretty :3

I wonder what I’m guna do now…

Pst… I decided to try out the nail-blogger classic cuticle-following watermark. I’m still not too sure if I’m doing it right, but does it look okay?

31 Day Nail Challenge: Day 29

29 Oct

Supernatural nails. Bleurgh. Considering how many halloween nails I’m seeing everywhere at the moment, I felt decidedly uninspired. I don’t think it helped that I spent the day out and was running low on daylight for photos!

I decided on purple nails with gold stars, inspired by the cliché wizard’s hat. Because magic? I dunno.

The purple is Kleancolor Love Affair, and the stars were done with my gold glitter Jordana striper (called Golden Artist).

A bit boring, but cute in its own way :3

Jordana Glitter Specialty Nail Polish Swatches

11 Mar

Right, so last time when I was finished showing off my Australis polishes, I promised you that next time you’d hear from me I’d come bearing glitter! My day off work didn’t deliver the best weather so I spent the day inside watching cheesy 90s movies, and playing with my new Jordana glitter specialty polishes. I only have 5 so far, but after testing them you can be sure that I’ll be ordering the rest… Everybody ready?

A Peek into MaSucree’s Shoes Collection

9 Mar

Hello Darlings!

I hope you have all been looking after yourselves!

Today’s post is going to be about some of my shoes 🙂

I get a little touchy when people ask me how many pairs of shoes I have, first off it’s usually people who I don’t know well and second I don’t actually know cause I think it is rude to count. However today there was some rearranging going on and I decided that I finally would count them all. Delindel and I are going to be the only ones privy to that information. HOWEVER out came an idea from the lovely Rebecca ( a reader and friend of Del’s) that I should do a post about some of my favourite shoes.

So I have picked 8 pair of shoes, some of them new and some of them older pairs to show to you.

KleanColor Alter Ego Metallic Eyeliner – Swatches and Reviews

16 Jan

Evening lovely readers!

Hope you all have been well. I have been home the last day and a half from work -_- Nothing too major just feeling like I’ve been run over my a truck. I don’t think I’ve been looking after myself the very best, but Gabby has been looking after me.

So today’s post is a quick review and gratuitous amounts of photos of our new KleanColor Alter Ego Metallic Eyeliner Duo.

We picked these up Saturday when we went to Henderson Mall from the 123 Mart. They were each $3.90, what a steal!. There are seven colours all together: teal, purple, blue, silver, gold, copper and black. We brought purple, blue, gold, copper and black, with of course a plan to pick up all the other colours too. Each liner comes with both a pencil and a liquid liner, which looks good together or separate.

For a dollar store find I am very impressed with the quality of these liners. Even though we use KleanColor nail lacquer, the rest of a brand is a mystery to us. Whether expensive, mid range or cheap, there is no guarantee that the entire range will be any good.

The pigment of all the colours is just right, I was a bit worried about how bold the colours would be but they are perfect. The colour isn’t too pale but it isn’t too over the top either. I also found the application was different to what I had experienced with any other liquid liner. The brush was a little bit shorter and did not flail about when you apply it to your eye lid, which meant there was little to no mess.

I would rate the liquid liner at four stars and the pencil and three and a half 🙂

Now time for your photos!
EDIT: Swatches are laid out liquid liner on to and then pencil on the bottom, except for black which is reversed.
