Om nom nom! It’s been a while since I’ve posted something other than nails, so I thought I’d give it a stab to prove I don’t just sit around painting my nails all day. Sometimes I hang out in the kitchen! I can’t take full credit for these tasties – my awesomesauce sister was bragging on Facebook about hers so I stole her recipe. It’s just a basic scone recipe, but I thought I’d share because everybody loves cheese and bacon. Plus they’re rolled into scrolls instead of just a lumpy mclumplump scone lump.
I also managed to get a few pictures for you. Because you know, I love you and stuff ❤
Goodness MaSucree has been an awfully busy lady! I feel a bit naughty and lazy now… But hey if you can’t be naughty and lazy during the silly season, when can you?!
I hope you all had fantastic Christmases, I know mine was pretty great. Got some nice things, spent time with awesome people and ate a butt-tonne of delicious food (mmm, ham). My Christmas was actually ridiculously busy.
On Saturday (Christmas Eve), my sister, her husband and kids, Sir Husband and I, all headed down to Hamilton to spend a few hours with our mum, stepdad, little brother and sister. My mum is a chef, so you can imagine how ridonk tasty our Christmas lunch was! I didn’t take my camera though so I have no pictures to share 😦 However, today I took photos of my haul from that part of my family 😀
Before we get started this is our 100th post! Yaaay! A big thank you to everyone who has subscribed, commented, viewed and supported Delindel and I in the last couple of months. Never did we think that our ramblings about craft, makeup, food and shopping would attract the attention it has. So thank you very much.
So what do you do with those bananas that have ripened too quickly and are a little to mushy to eat? MAKE A CAKE! (you can just make the cake then or you can put them in the freezer for a later date). Banana cake is my most favourite cake in the world, then lemon, then strawberry and then vanilla. I love chocolate but I am a bit meh about chocolate flavoured things. Anyway Banana cake is best served with lemon icing :3 it’s my favourite icing OM NOM NOM! So I am going to share with you my Edmond’s Cookbook Banana Cake with Lemon Icing :3
My dad really loves melting moments as a treat for his birthday or Christmas my Nana would make them for him. So this for Father’s day (I know a while back now) I made him some and he was so chuffed. While I was making them I took some photos so I could share with you the recipe. Some of the steps are missing photos as it is a lil hard to take photos and ice biscuits 😄
These biscuits are really easy to make but I find that they taste best the next day as the icing absorbs into the biscuits a bit and they get that perfect melty, crumbly texture. So if you want them for something make them the day before.
Also I of course did not come up with this recipe it is from my trusty Edmond’s Cookbook.
I only ever seem to get the urge to bake at night. It’s weird. And probably annoys our neighbours when I’m mixing stuff… >_<
It’s been aaages since I’ve baked anything because of the constant stress of uni and work, coupled with the fact that I was so sick for so long (I’m still coughing a bit but I’m mostly better now).
Today I wanted to do something special – i.e. I wanted to bake some freaking cupcakes. Unfortunately, with the state I’m in, I just completely did not feel up to it. I sat on the couch coughing my guts out and looked at pictures of food on the internet.
