Jazzing up a boring mirror with Delindel and some nail polish

8 Feb

So today I seem to have done something nasty to my back wherein I can’t move much without it hurting me and making me actually huff and cry out loud. Eek! Painkillers haven’t done anything to alleviate the pain, and I’m hoping it gets better before I have to work tomorrow night…

Anyway, because of this I was stuck on the couch all day in a kind of hunched sitting position because straightening out too much hurt >< I watched a lot of Sabrina the Teenage Witch, painted my nails… And attacked an ugly mirror I was given.

I decided to make it pretty and worthy of being in my handbag.

DIY Sugar Scrub with Delindel

6 Feb

It’s summer here in New Zealand, my least favourite season for many many reasons. I prefer winter fashion, I hate getting hot and sunburnt and sticky, and I hate feeling like it has to be the “perfect summer” every year. Summer is just icky.
Physically one of my biggest problems with summer is that I always dry out, especially my legs and lips. No matter how well I look after my lips, they always end up sad and cracked in summer. And while I love Lush lip scrubs, with my money issues I can’t justify buying them when I could make my own with household ingredients!

So here’s a very simple quick lip scrub I made at home. It might not be the prettiest scrub around, but it works wonders and it tastes yummy too 😉

Let’s Play “What’s in my Garden?” with Delindel!

16 Jan

I love gardening, and spending time in the garden. This may come as a shock to you, since you probably all know how much I love pretty nails and soft hands, but there’s something quite relaxing and therapeutic about spending a sunny day in the garden.

I haven’t had much time for gardening this summer, what with work and job-hunting and blogging and the gaming I waste my time on. Not to mention that we haven’t had many gardening-worthy days at all. So my garden has started to grow a bit wild! It’s a good thing I’ve always rather preferred a wild garden. A couple of days ago we had a brief sunny spell in the afternoon, so I ran outside with the camera and got a few snapshots of the things currently lurking in my garden…

Hobby Bazaar and Dukit Review

Parcels! Parcels! I love parcels! *dances*

Hello everyone! Hope your week has been good, mine has been filled with nail polish O_O like crazy amounts…but more on that later.

As you may have noticed I got a parcel in the mail yesterday! Oh yeah! This parcel is from Hobby Bazaar and is filled with Du-Kit Polymer Clay. I use Polymer Clay when I make things like my Cupcake Decorations. I have been running low lately on the main colours I used so I splurged and brought myself some more through Hobby Bazaar.

Clay Cupcake Decorations

24 Dec

Good evening Sweetie Darlings!

Tomorrow is Christmas!!! Woooo!!! Only a few more hours to wait!!! Well for those of us who live in New Zealand land it is. 🙂

Today in between house cleaning and long walks with Mr Gabby I got crafty…I know it happened again…I’m frightened too.

At work we had a secret Santa and Jordan (I found out later he had me) was an awesome secret Santa and gave me Cupcake Cookie Cutters and a Zombie finger puppet. I have to admit I am not a big cookie fan…well making them so I thought I could maybe use them in my clay creations as well baking. (I promise I clean them in very hot, soapy water first before baking after clay).

MaSucree’s Notebook Has Officially Been Pimped

17 Dec

What no nail polish?  😛

Yes! I have been crafting today. Suddenly the crafty bug took hold and made a mess of my lounge floor…which I still have to clean up -_- Poor Gabby he puts up with a lot.

When I went on my Library Road trip, my team the angry sea gulls one the quiz. We all received these awesome notebooks. My one goes with me everywhere, but you have to admit it is a little bit boring. So that was what got attacked by the crafty magic today.

Staying Organised the Crafty Way

1 Nov

Oh-so-typically I’m feeling mighty guilty again! There’s nothing like making a comeback and stating that you’re not dead to make everything else in your life come knocking at your door! First I got sick, then I had work, then I got news that was cripplingly disappointing, then I had a huge assignment to do that was worth 50% of my final mark for the paper… You get what I’m talking about? Not much blogworthiness in that!

However since it’s the first of the month I thought it’s time to start anew and reignite my dedication! What better way than to show off how I organise myself?
