Exotic Shoe World + Delindel = Shoe Spree!

3 Nov

So the darling Miss MaSucree and I decided to each make a bus trip into the city yesterday to have lunch together ^_^ It stinks not living closer! We of course got the usual Habitual Fix and MaSu made me feel guilty for being a creature of habit by pointing out that I always get the same thing… But in my defence it IS called HABITUAL Fix! πŸ˜‰

Afterwards we meandered around random shops – we checked in at Farmers and I drooled over some OPIs, handbags, and Rimmel mascara. I was very good and restrained because I’m on a spending ban, and managed to leave without spending a cent! We then headed over to The Body Shop because we had both gotten emails about the Christmas range of products. We were both interested in the Candied Ginger range, but I decided it wasn’t cinnamony enough for me. I know, I know, it’s candied ginger… But for some reason I was expecting a bit of cinnamon in the mix. Shrug!

I ended up walking out with a bottle of Cranberry Joy Shimmer Lotion, which I chose because… It’s shimmery. And it makes my skin shimmery. And it smells delicious! It cost $29 NZD for a 250mL pump bottle that will last quite a long time πŸ™‚ Definitely go check out the Christmas ranges, they are all fantastic and it took me quite a while to choose just one thing!

I tried to get a photo of the shimmer on my skin, and this was the best I could get… It looks so lovely in the sun, just a gentle summery sheen ^_^

Can you guys see it? Hmmm.

After that we kind of meandered around a bit more, and somehow ended up at the Eve’s PantryΒ on the corner of Elliot and Darby St, and indulged a little in some lemon cups! These were so so so insanely tasty, they were stuffed full of lemon curd (which I could inhale).

They also had some cute Christmas themed cupcakes, and meringue Santas!

And then comes the part where I really fell apart… Since we were so close to the Atrium on Elliot, I made the daft suggestion that we check out the adorable boutiques in there. Seriously, there is such a great collection of cute shops up there! Unfortunately I need to shrink a bit before I can get into the clothes (darn you tiny adorable Asians!), but I am lucky enough to have small feet! So we… er…. made the mistake of walking into Exotic Shoe World >_<

I shan’t lie to you all. I try to avoid it at all costs, so I’m going to admit that MaSucree and Delindel were in that shop, destroying the displays in our wild rampage of shoe-trying. We were in there for a good hour at least, I think it was actually closer to an hour and a half. MaSucree walked out with two adorable pairs that I’m 3000% sure she will share with you… and I, silly creature that I am, walked out with three… Ooops! T_T

Prepare for shoe-porn spam!

It’s really difficult to take photos of shoes on myself when no one else is home… so please do excuse the weird angle!

All three pairs I bought today are insanely comfortable and exactly my size! It’s always a pain in the butt at work, I always feel limited by size because my store never seems to get the teeny sizes sent out. One of the other girls has even smaller feet than me! I feel her pain.

The cuteness! IT CANNOT BE CONTAINED!

Last pair now (and my secret favourite, shhh don’t tell the other two!)

Do your eyes not bleed with jealousy?!!!! *maniacal cackle*

The best part about this shopping spree was the fact that I paid $95 NZD for THREE PAIRS OF SHOES. That is insanely reasonable. INSANELY. The lovely lovely Miss Vivian in the shop was so fantastic and patient and helpful, and even gave us each a small discount! And free phone charms ^_^ I chose an ice cream, and Miss MaSu chose a squishy piece of toast! I forgot to take a photo of mine though so maybe another time, the lighting in here is awful right now πŸ˜„

So how did I do on my shopping spree? Is my favourite pair yours too, or do you like the others better?

-Del xx

P.S. Sir Husband was a fair bit unimpressed with me, but he was very gracious. He said that as long as I didn’t spend any more money until Sydney, and put away all the shoes that were already all over the living room, he wouldn’t get mad at me πŸ˜„ Gosh I’m a lucky girl πŸ˜€
